The property consists of two adjoining farms in the scenically beautiful Stormberg area of the NE Cape- some 40 km from Burgersdorp, 50km from Molteno and 60 km from Dordrecht. The farms, which are farmed as a single unit and have a total area of +2600ha, are divided into 60 camps mostly using a wagon wheel system, with each centre having its own supply of water. In addition to the veld, which is comprised of a rich variety of mainly palatable Stormberg sweetveld species , there are some 160 ha of lands (Lucerne, eragrostis and green fodder)-which, in turn, consist of approximately 80ha of dry lands and 80 ha either under irrigation or with the potential for further development as irrigation lands. Irrigation is accomplished mainly by means of gravity feed from two large storage dams. The overall carrying capacity of 1.25 ssu /ha is higher than that of traditional Karoo veld. The farms are well watered from springs and boreholes and the yearly rainfall, which is in the region of 660 mm, makes the property ideal for both cattle and sheep. There are sufficient outbuildings and staff accommodation available, and this includes a modern barn/shearing shed/workshop with excellent sheep and cattle handling facilities and kraals adjacent to the main shed.

Overall the fencing and roads are in good condition. The main farm house has many attractive features and has been lovingly restored by the present owners and it provides for very comfortable living -both summer and winter. The garden and main dwelling would not be out of place in the pages of well known country and lifestyle magazines. There is also a modern and recently built 3 bedrooms, two bathroom managers’s house privately situated within walking distance from the main house. Eskom power is available and excellent quality house water is supplied from a strong borehole.
