Topography:  Most of the farm lies in the gently sloping basin running down to the base of

                       a mountain. The farm then rises steeply to the top of the mountain to its

                       boundary fence.

 

Vegetation:     The dominant vegetation is savannah type Grahamstown Mosaic Thicket, with a good grass layer interspersed by bush clumps and scattered trees. Common trees in this vegetation type are Acacia’s, Cabbage tress and Wild Olives.

 

                        There are a number of open sourveld grasslands as well as false fynbos patches on the mountaintop. Tall yellowwoods are common along drainage lines throughout the farm.
